TALES FROM THE OUTERNET - QUADRANT PARK

“The first big rave I went to was Carl Cox and Raving Dave at Quadrant Park. Picture a fuck off mega warehouse in Bootle. The Quad was run by a bunch of scally gangstas...but it changed the whole vibe of the area. “Fuck...you were my last hope...you look like the only one in here off your face”
“You shameless flatterer”
We are situated in the fetid, inadequate, decidedly unglamourous latrines of the temple....somewhere behind us I can overhear Steve… Continue

A gay teenager's ‘invisible’ murder highlights the lack of national media coverage of homophobic crime, claim Homotopia.

A film about the murder of 18-year-old Michael Causer in Liverpool and the subsequent lack of coverage by the national press was premiered at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool as part of the Homotopia festival, who say mainstream news ‘exclude’ homophobic violence.

Produced by the festival director, Gary Everett, ‘The Invisible Death of Michael’ says the killing of Michael only became well-known through social networking sites and specialised news media.

Mr Everett said: ‘Michael’s death was invi… Continue
